Dr. Steele and her staff have been caring for many​ of our livestock for​ well over a decade. When one of our 2 week old mini​ donkey foals recently ​fractured his cannon bone​, Dr. Steele​ did a wonderful job ​casting his leg with tremendous success. ​It was a long healing process but the end result was better than expected. We are so grateful that Dr. Steele took on this challenging procedure to save this little guy. We know that he is not her typical equine patient but her care and skill in working with him during several visits was so impressive. Thank you to Dr. Steele and her amazing staff for helping to give this special little foal the fantastic future he deserves. He is 100% sound and healthy.

Dr. Steele is exceptionally knowledgeable. Her assistant (whose name I didn't get) was amazing too. Our horse, Moses, started to panic a little when he saw the door he had to go through. She spoke to him and like magic, he stopped and did as requested. It was surreal...

I loved them very knowledgeable. Look I've been in Rescue for over 35yrs so I know quite a bit and am very knowledgeable on horses dogs birds pigs and more.
I really don't need a vet a lot because I've been doing Rescue so long.
So when I call a Vet it's cause I've had a Rescue come in that is something I've never seen and I'm stumped. Which when I told them I need a Vet only from time to time. Her reply was she understands and that was fine. She didn't push well you really should have them all looked at by a license Vet to be safe. Which I have heard quite a bit in the past 35 yrs.
And they are knowledgeable with back in the day n modern meds which is a major plus.
And not only do they know what they're doing! They are into it for your horse not the ole mighty dollar.
The horse I brought in was a past Rescue that had a broken Jaw busted ankle n spur in hock. She came into the Rescue very under weight n busted up pretty good.she beat all odds. She as leased came back under weight wouldn't gain was leaning real bad on left hind stumbled when she walked dragging hind legs. No matter what was dn she didn't gain strength or weight. Steel Equine I was GREATLY impressed with their exam n prices for x-rays lameness exam. She was diagnosed with negative nitrogen balance. Never ever heard of that n I've owned horses for 45yrs n been in Rescue for over 35yrs. Look it up cause I sure had to lol. After putting her on equinoxx 2x a day to help reverse the Negative nitrogen balance. It has helped her.
My vets I've used fir yrs all are retiring on me. Which makes me sad. But I've found another caring Vet so I'm very happy.
Plus their facility is nicely setup. They also have plans on getting a theraputic pool. Along with other things to offer their customers. Best of all they do FARM CALLS it to many Vets are doing them and a lot of them have became more maintance vets.
They also offer chiro floats even farrier work.
So it's an all for one place to take your horse.
I LOVED MY FIRST VISIT. And will be using them when I need them.
